christconsciousness - 2011

christconsciousness - 2011

Jesus’ teachings centered around helping people find their own internal source of Spirit. He lived what he taught. He was the embodiment of love and goodness, peace and understanding. His God-centeredness allowed him to achieve what we consider miracles because he understood the natural laws of the universe and was able to tap into the great power of love to bring healing to people. He practiced meditation and prayer to gain strength to meet the challenges of daily life. He consistently showed love, kindness, patience, gentleness to others and encouraged them to open to the Spirit within themselves. He said, “The kingdom of Heaven is within.” He lived his life to show us how to find Spirit and what a human personality looks like when he or she is Spirit-centered. He paved the way for us to find God for ourselves. (Donna D'Ingillo)

It is our own power that creates the avatars. when we grow up we should reconsider if the avatars still suit our perception. our strength is a sacred force and it is essential for what we use it for. (Karmym)

Swadhisthana - 2011

Receive and celebrate the gift of your sensuality, and the irresistible vibrations and rhythms of life.
Know yourself as a sexual being, with innate personal powers, and outer attractiveness.
Open to your own animal magnetism, and the ingenious genetic desire system that keeps our species reproducing. (Lonny J. Brown)

muladhara - 2011

When the first chakra is disconnected from the feminine Earth, we can feel orphaned and motherless. The masculine principle predominates, and we look for security from material things. Individuality prevails over relationship, and selfish drives triumph over family, social and global responsibility. The more separated we become from the Earth, the more hostile we become to the feminine. We disown our passion, our creativity, and our sexuality. Eventually the Earth itself becomes a baneful place. I remember being told by a medicine woman in the Amazon, "Do you know why they are really cutting down the rain forest? Because it is wet and dark and tangled and feminine. (Alberto Villoldo)

realization - 2011

Is the sound of AUM divided into three
Simply because it contains three letters?
Or is the letter 'N' divided into three
because of the three lines by which it is formed?

So long as Unity is undisturbed,
And a graceful pleasure is thereby derived,
Why should not the water find delight
In the floral fragrance of its own rippled surface?

Garudasana - 2011

Wake up! feel like an eagle, free yourself from limitation. concentrate your attentiveness on yourself, on your breath and body perception. Through cultivating mindfulness you have the tools to explore the depth of your inner world. The self then becomes clarified. it is no longer experienced as an ever-present entity but as a transparent, elastic, vibratory activity. It loses thingness. letting go the past and accept the present state how it is. be yourself.

buddha - 2011

One day a young Buddhist on his journey home, came to the banks of a wide river. Staring hopelessly at the great obstacle in front of him, he pondered for hours on just how to cross such a wide barrier. Just as he was about to give up his pursuit to continue his journey he saw a great teacher on the other side of the river. The young Buddhist yells over to the teacher, "Oh wise one, can you tell me how to get to the other side of this river"? The teacher ponders for a moment looks up and down the river and yells back, "My son, you are on the other side".

Could we have a genetically based affinity for butterflies, which are the most salient demonstrations of metamorphosis present in the environments where humans have evolved? If genetically encoded, does the expression of this image require an environmental trigger? Could the archetype remain latent, within our subconscious mind, until some element in our immediate environment call it forth? (Gary Paul Nabhan)

Dharana - 2011

The state of deep concentration - Dharana - is what we all are looking for in our lives. At work, on dates, in our hobbies, we are all trying to avoid boredom and fear, we are all seeking flow or peak performance, or what we call in Yoga... Dharana. (Charles MacInerney)

Mandela - 2011

Mandela - 2011

I am fundamentally an optimist. Whether that comes from nature or nurture, I cannot say. Part of being optimistic is keeping one's head pointed toward the sun, one's feet moving forward. There were many dark moments when my faith in humanity was sorely tested, but I would not and could not give myself up to despair. That way lays defeat and death. (Nelson Mandela)
